Default Not Going into Reverse

I have an 05 Arctic Cat 400 4x4 that won't shift into reverse anymore. It does every once in a while, but not most of the time. Anybody have any advice to fix the problem? It started a little while ago, and would go in sometimes if I pushed really hard down, but now it doesn't.

It takes a while to brake these things in, try giving it a little throttle, and that should do the trick. After you get more miles on the thing, it will be a lot easier. If this doesn't work, take it back as it would need to be adjusted. Good luck!

I had the same problem when I first got mine....A little throttle, as previously stated, was all mine needed at first, now it's no problem.

Before my first oil change my H/L/R shifter wouldn't give me Low or Reverse. The nut had come off the shift rod hiem joint. Tighted the nut and still wasn't right. Took it in for oil change and they adjusted the linkage under warrantee. I'd take it to the dealer if you are not a mechanic. Mine was so new they just fixed it.

If you have a 05, you have the 2 yr warranty. Take it back to dealer and let them adjust or fix it.
