I would like to get one a guy on here said they were like $29 or so and that it was easy to install and made a world of difference. I have the new 650 LE and the battery that came with it seems weak at best after i use the winch and snow b lade for a while, would you recomend getting the more powerful AC batttery or a battery from another co.

tank/coolant heater I've seen - never a carb heater.
They do wonders for exteme cold weather starting but does it get that cold in WV?
A couple of pumps on the primer lever on the carb will do the trick.
You may want to crank up the idle adjustment a couple of turns in the winter also.
Another good device is the battery minder which keeps the battery charged 100% on a trickle.
I attached the female half of a 12volt accessory cord to the battery and the other end to the trickle
charger and just plug it in when its in the shed. But it gets down to -20 here.

The 650s have anti-freeze from the engine running through the carbs.

There is no primer on them either,at least not the '04s.

So far, I haven't had any problems starting mine as low as -30 DegC (-22 DegF) with only the full choke and some light throttle. It does take a long time to warm up though and can't be good on the engine. I wasn't looking at a block heater but a magnet heater. Canadian Tire has a new style of heater out for $20 Can. It's a magnet block with an extension cord that plugs in the 120V wall plug. I'm thinking of trying it.
