Those are Kehin numbers. You'll have to pick up your own jets.

HeyYou, I got a question for ya. What kit did you buy for the Dyno-jet? I looked on VD instructions for installing the snorkel and the 142 and 147 main jets cross over to 132 and 136(Dyno-jet) mains. So you are using the same ones that come with the Dyno-jet kit, right? Maybe I'm wrong, just wondering.

As I mentioned in my post earlier, the Dyno-Jet dosen't come with jets big enough for the snorkel mod, so you'll still need to get different jets. The VDI website, has a cross refrence chart listing the difference between the factory Kehin jets, and Dyno-Jet numbers.

Heyyou - What does the VDI snorkle comprise of, can't tell looking at your pics. Looked at the VDI website and there's not there, but a few pieces of abs pipe? What gets done to the air box? What size of Kehin jets would I need at 500' ASL with this mod?

You seen the whole kit. Two pieces of PVC pipe, a 45 deg elbow, and a 90 deg elbow, and a piece of tape to take up the slop between the size of the air box flange, and the PVC pipe. Plus, you'll get a couple of needle shims. And last but not least, You also get a set of allen head screws to replace the philips head screws on your carb bowls. You'll need a 142 jet for the front carb, and a 147 for the rear carb, those are Kehin jet numbers.

I'm still lost If you say he will need a 142 for the front and a 147 for the rear, then he could have the dyno-jet kit and use the 132 front and 136 rear out of that. They cross reference the same, so that means they are the same size and dyno-jet does have mains that are big enough. Unless he ended up needing bigger than the 142 or 147 kehin jets.

Another question - What are the allen bolts made out of that come with the vdi snorkel? Are they black oxide or stainles or what? And what are the dimensions (length, thread size)?

If you look at Dyno Jets web site, you'll see the biggest jet in their kit is a 130, so, as you've already found out, they're not big enough. Yeah, they make bigger jets, they just don't have the ones you'll need in their jet kit for the 650. As fare as the screws goes, I can't answer that one. I made my own kit using a rubber radiator hose instead of PVC. I do plan on switching the screws within the next couple of days. I'm just gonna take one out and run to the local hardware store.

Ah I was looking at the kit for the 03 650 praire. The jets go bigger on that kit, and that is supposed to be the motor that is in the AC.
