Default A/C 400 Oil Cooler Design Problem

Thanks for your reply. I'd like to contact your friend to talk with him/her about what happened & how it was resolved w/ Arctic Cat. I'm afraid I may have to sue them to get them to resolve the issue fairly.

Lets get this straight, YOU go out and ram a stick up above the lower frame rails and break something. And know YOUR response is, "It ain't MY fault, so I will blame AC and sue them." Sounds to me like an abuse issue and nowhere in any of the manuals did I see anything about it being ok to jam sticks anywhere. You are just the kind of guy lawyers love, he will make big bucks and YOU will probaly lose and cost AC big bucks because YOU will not admit YOU did something wrong. Grow up and accept responsibility for what you did. I suppose when you roll in over on yourself you will sue because it didn't have automatic outriggers to keep you from falling over.

Listen you idiot, why don't you get your head out of your rectum& the chip off your shoulder & try & get some facts before you attack someone & accuse them of being a lawsuit monger......IF you're interested, here are the facts: On the A/C 400 model the bottom corners of the oil cooler stick outside the protective framework by about 1 1/4", exposing the corners to being hit by normal sticks & branches that you encounter going through unmown terrain. I didn't poke anything into the oil cooler, what happened was the exposed corner took a blunt hit from a stick or branch (at about 15-20 mph) pushing it back in it's framework & shearing off a small nipple in the bottom of the cooler, thus draining the oil. IT'S A DESIGN FLAW WITH THAT PARTICULAR MODEL. So why don't you quit attacking innocent people who have a legitimate claim until you get the facts? I thought you said you had a friend who had a similar problem.

I'm an IDIOT? In your opinion only is this a design flaw. My 2005 400 is designed the same way and so is the 2003 model. So if it was such a big problem how come you are the first to whime about it? I don't go anywhere at 15-20 mph where I can't see what I am going over or through. The only idiot here is you for not accepting responsibility for your abusive riding style. Just fix it, learn from your mistake (of course you have to admit to being in error first and you won't because you are never wrong and that would require you to pull your head out of your rectum first) and get on with your life and quit crying like a baby. The 2003 and 2005 400 has the same oil cooler so don't be telling it's with your model only. So far you have proven three things. #1 You have an abusive riding style and want someone other than yourself to pay for it (don't count on it). #2 You have a mouth on you that in the real world will get you in major trouble. #3 you are a law suit monger.

In this case,,bears is correct,,,it is not arctic cats fault..............maybe they should redesign it.but m no where does it say they have to protecy every peice on the quad.....i do believe if u looked in safty manuals some where it would say u were riding where u shouldn't...but we all know we all rtide in plases we shouldnt........if cat knew u were riding in rough terain they would viod your warranty anyway...and also a good dealer would get u some warranty anyway...good luck with the cooler

BigThicket,

Wow, you don't see this to much in the Arctic cat forum

You need to rethink your wording the next time.

People like you make me sick with your arrogant comments. It was YOUR FAULT the stick went into the oil cooler when you were probably do 40mph through the woods when it happened. Now its YOUR responsibility to fix it. We have an AC375 with 6400 miles on it, we had some weeds wrap around the drive shaft and burn the seal out. We didnt sue the company over that we fixed it ourselves. People like you need to get out of your own world and take responsibility for your own actions.

I've got THE ANSWER!
You get the manufacturer to provide for free a really really big plastic ball and you put your ATV in it and go like hell!
Kind of like my kids gerbal ball..

LOL
