Is anyone aware of an aftermarket CDI for the 500 Cat? I've done a search on the forum but came up dry. My buddy has an '03 500I, his dealer got the CDI for him. It was a direct replacement for the stocker. He gained 7mph on his top speed! The box had no manufacturer markings on it, just a part number, so we have no history. He is having a problem with hot starts, it won't fire when hot. Does anyone know anything about these CDI's?

 

It's made by procom (IIRC), mainly it just raises the rev limiter. If he wants more power an aftermarket pipe and rejetting really helps.
