Tell dealer you want warrantee......lots of problems with frames on 04 650's breaking.....AC knows about it and is replacing frames as needed with no questions asked......wouldn't hurt to try.

... sorry to hear about that frame...
anyway, just replaced my frame on 04 650. It's really not too hard. I really did not want to do it , tried to fix it (pull things into place) .... but finally I locked at the idea of changing the frame ( my bike fell off the truck) it took about 20 hours to stripp it, including taking picks with a digitall camera, just to make sure where some of those wires connect to and drinking coffee that turned to beer. And to put it back together was no longer than that either. So one weekend to stripp and the next to fix it up and drive away. Those Cats are very easy. The wire harness is almost foolproof (they must have known folks like me will work on this) and the rest is just basic wrenching. If you have to do this and need more info... go ahead and ask me (or anybody that may have ideas to help you along).

A really good fabricator could fix it. He would need to be able to meause a good frame first though. How did you bend the frame with out destroying the suspension?

Bend the frame on my '04 650 v2. Fell in a 7' dry creek, bent both sides of the upper frame where the upper "A Arms" attach. Insurance totaled it. Took it to a body shop with another cat I browered for measurements and had them straighten it. Did an excellent job

Waranty won't cover driver abuse. Bent frames are most always a result of abuse. Now a cracked frame is different. There are plenty of frames out there that have cracked, and there are only two places where the cracks are showing up. Top of the frame in front of the seat and lower frame in front of the motor. AC is replacing these frames without any problems.
