In the future, when I seriously take into consideration on purchasing a AC 500, which color should I seriously consider? From everyone out their who owns one. On which one are the scratches more noticeable? I am leaning toward the green one, because green is a traditional Cat color. Red kind of reminds me of Honda, etc. Let me hear your input on the subject at hand. Thank You for your opinions!

I would get a red one. My green one shows scratches very easy when it's not wet. I don't know how the red one does with scratches, but I rather Red anyway.

GREEN!!! Kind of makes AC stand out from the rest, everybody else offers a red machine too, but to me, red is true to Honda, and truth be known, AC is far from that. Besides, green looks more at home up in the hills and mountains-don't know about you, but I've never seen any red trees out there???

As for scratches, a good wax job will take care of most of that. Or, if need be, install a fender cover kit, then you'll have a full camo'd effect, won't see scratches at all!

My Dad & I had the same dilema, I bought mine first & got the green one to, as cowboy says, blend in with the country. My Dad wanted to be different so he got the red one, and then went out & bought a bright red Jeep to go with it. As far as the scratches, they both show about the same. Dad's had been sitting on the showroom floor for a while & came with a lot of scratches from people walking by & leaning on it and such. Mine came out of a crate and all of my scratches are personal & most have a story to go with them. Anyway, I'd go with whatever color you like, your the one who will be sitting on it.

Hi, I have an AC 400 4x4, I chose red, mostly because it was ready to go right off the showroom, and the green one was still in the crate. I didn't want to wait . Besides, everybody around here has green ATV's I wanted to be a little different. I would have prefered colors more like Cat's snowmobiles, but you have to take what you can get.

Green. I prefer the darker AC green over the lighter green of the Sp500. I also like the dark Magnum green better too. AC needs another color. Maybe a dark grey like the old kodiak.
