Lift Mod Question
After installing the Moose lift kit I saw posts on another forum about lift modifications putting excess strain on the axles. My mod provided about 1" of lift. (makes a difference on an older model quad like mine) I have never seen that concern expressed here.
Is this a concern? I weigh about 140 lbs and usually carry under 100 lbs of gear. My trail is very rocky but I go pretty slow, under 5 MPH. the lift is not worth it to me to risk a costly repair.
Thanks,
Harry

Lift Mod Question
I've have a Moose lift kit on my 2001 AC 250, for almost 2 years now. No problems at all and the wife and I rode 2 up for almost 6 months. Now she ride the 250 and I ride the 400 and she weighs as much as you do. Oh yeah, I weight more than you and you gear put together and I also usually tote around 75 to 150 lbs of gear (nothing like being prepared for any and everything). It's the high horsepower guys that tear things up and the lift kits are and easy thing to blame rather than their over use of the throttle. I would suspect that you will have no problems with it.

Lift Mod Question
I do remember back a couple of years ago, several people reporting broken axles on IRS Cats with lift kits installed.
Trouble with the the IRS Cats is that they're already jacked up from the factory, that's how they got the high ground clearance. Raising them even more really bends the U joints at a serious angle. I don't think the live axle or ACT cats had this issue.
