We go on my grandma's land every year. It is 135 acres, connected to 2000 of state land. We do okay, but only harvest 1 big buck every 7 years or so. TONS of little guys though. 2 years ago I missed a huge 10 pointer, only 80 yards away and just walking. Don't know how it happened. In my picts you can see the 8 pointer I got last year though, took it in ND. We only go there every other year, and always get at least a 6 pointer.

OK, I'm back to work now. Here in So Cal homes were burning only about three miles from mine. Fortunately for us, I didn't have to evac my family as it was burning the other direction. I worked almost all night last Monday preparing to receive families who had been evacuated. We were setting up to put families in the barracks, only to be forced to evac ourselves Tuesday night. Worked almost all night Tuesday as well. We evacuated around 3,000 people, almost all of whom were students right out of boot-camp. Was able to return to our work area late Thursday.
Deer hunting has come to a halt as all of the areas are closed.

weez, I knew about that, but I also knew that one of the things the terrorists said they would do is light forest fires. I also know that some of the fires out here have been set intentionally.
QUOTE FOR TODAY:
On average, 80 percent of felons vote Democratic. An overwhelming 93 percent ostensibly would have voted for Bill Clinton in 1996. In the 2004 election, felons in Washington state "voted exclusively for Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry."
