Woo hoo, I love hunting season. I have been out goose hunting 3 times already and the grouse should be scared this weekend.

Anyway to the point,

Catterman I have your email and will let you know when I come down there. Anyone else that would like to join us just post theirs.

Is anyone going to be up in my neck of the woods grouse hunting this weekend?

Also, who is going duck hunting on the 30th?

Mnwolverine ,I always duck hunt and goose ,and pheasant ,oh yea started deer hunting last year again .

 

Hey Deanz, i think i saw your blazer in the same gravel pit, on the right as you come in of the highway, with the Army Reserve sticker mabey? Your quads were gone, so i didnt stop. I came through about 3:00pm on Saturday heading to the small gravel pit with the water hole[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] Im sure i will see you up there sometime

 

Hey V2 thought I saw you go by , was playing in the pit ,with my son ,raceing around ,
Oh my gosh were the camp sites loaded up with people by Spider lake ,might have to find some new spot to camp.that is why I was in the north pit, catch you around .

 

How was the hunting???

Were the trails nice still?

 

The grouse were scarce, and the trails were great!! There had been some rain, so there was a few nice water holes. but all in all a great day for riding

 

I got a suprise today. Someone my parents know had 2 German shorthair pointer pups and they were moving and could not take them to where they were moving. So my mom took them and she gave one of them to me. More specifically she is a 10 month old female purebred GSP. I am know even more excited to go pheasant hunting.

I also saw that someone said in a previous post that the grouse were scarce. They weren't hunting anywhere near me. I have been out for 3 hours total so far and I have seen 17 and shot 6.

 

17 grouse in 3 hours??? They are still on their down cycle, you must have a grouse farm[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Hey V2 should have been on the trails I was on almost had 3 different grouse in my face .tried to grab 2 of them while riding ,touched the tail feathers on one ,and seen several others that i didn't almost hit .
