So has that CDI worked out for you? I had a Dyna on my Prairie and loved it, could not live without it, but it did take me three units to get one that would work for more than an hour.

I ordered one from Dyna's web site - DFS10-1. ('06 650 V2). Got me wondering now...DFS2-13, DFS2-15??? Haven't installed mine yet. What's the difference?

All the v twin kawi modules are the same unit just the #s are changed is what dyna told me when I got mine off ebay it was for a 700 p not a BF I would leave all setting on your shocks in the stock position because it might give you bad handling on the ruff stuff with the back stiffer it will want to buck a little, and maybe put a winch on the front if you dont have one already this added weight might help

The reason why I purchased an IRS machine, now that my Prairie was stolen in Quebec, was due to the VEERY harsh ride of the back of the Prairie. So I guess I cannot have my cake and eat it too. If I want the smooth suspension I have to give a little somewhere. I will leave the shocks alone for now and see if I can get used to this

Below follows a e-mail note I sent to Dyna Tech this morning asking about their various part numbers for the Kawa V2 engine and it's applications. They were very prompt in their reply. In re-reading Mr. Goshorn's response (several times), I THINK what he is trying to say is they are the same units. Still, I'm not sure.

-----------------

I have a '06 Arctic Cat 650 V2. I also have your DFS10- 1 ECU. A question came up on a recent forum concering the various Kawai V2 motors of the same size and the different ECU numbers in your inventory for the same motor. What is the difference and do I have the correct unit? It hasn't been installed yet and won't be until June. I dont' want to install the incorrect unit.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your interest in Dynatek ignitions. Please note that as a marketing situation, we have assigned different part #'s to the different
applications by manufacturer. If we were to sell to a Kawasaki dealer for the Prairie 650 or 700, he would not want the ignition assembly to show it is for the Suzuki "Twin Peak 650". Because we do sell directly to different makers as well as dealers and retail, we have to keep up the manufacturers brand separation for them to not only stock the item, but to continue to sell the product. This has been the same for the several systems, lets say for example, the ignition for the Inex ignition for "Legend Cars", is the same basic item we sell for the "Baby Grands" and to the "600 Racing" company. Maybe a different color but the same basic system. If we can be of further assistance, please contact us again.

Sincerely,
Raymond Goshorn
Applications Engineer

Just turn up your shocks all the way in front and in back to reduce the rolling affect as much as possible. You'll get used too it. It took me awhile when i had my AC. But you'll get used to it and learn to love it. The Mudlites should help too, Awesome tires.

I think my first Dyna CDI is a DUD. No performance increase and ignition dies for a few seconds every once in a while. The perfomance change on my Prairie was night and day with the Dyna, I guess I will ship it back. Third one was a charm last time so lets hope I can do better this time.

Sammy,

Let us know how Dyna handles your possible "dud" concern and, assuming you receive another unit, how it preforms compared to your initial unit.
