Default 650V2 cuts out periodically

I installed a dynatek cdi, and also its the first hot 90 mile ride my quad has seen (88 degrees). Three times today, it was as if i hit the kill switch for a second. Anyone have this happen? Kind of worries me, but on the otherhand, its under warranty, so ok. Running at a high speed in low, when i punched it, it would do that to me twice. The other time, it was just half throttle going over rocks. There is no power loss when its not on a cut out , and it idles fine. Any ideas?

It certainly could be something with the dynatec cdi, but I don't know. Other than clutch springs, I don't have any mods on mine. If nobody can help you here, try Arctic Chat. Many, many V2 owners there that have heavily modified their V2s, and like this site, is a very good scource of information.

How about bad fuel???? You can always try some SeaFoam in there and see how that does. I am not aware of any cutting out problems on the V2's. However I do know that some people have gotten faulty CDI's from Dynatek, so that could be the problem too.

Thanks for the replies, i went to Arcticchat and someone else had the same identical problem, and it was a loose sparkplug wire. Im going to check mine since i put different wires on my quad.

that started happening to me after i drowned mine out. what it ended up being is just a bad spark plug. i put two brand new ones in and it never did that again. and you know how spark plugs just start getting weak out of a sudden for no reason so i would just try that 5 dollar fix.

It only did it when it got hot, and i was cruising. It wasnt like a miss, it was like i turned the key off and it just went dead for a second.

Does this happen at low steady speeds? Cuz thats when mine did it. I leaned upthe mixture screws a little and it hasn't bugged me since.
