has anyone had problems with engine dying with ign. switch in headlight on posistion, this is the second switch with same problem. if slightly move or shake key when in this posistion it will die. when switch was first replaced it would not die.

 

I had to do a bit of rewiring with my switch. For me, it was the fact that the ignition wires are not routed in the most efficient way up to the cluster. I moved em around a bit to make a little slack and had to rewire a connector that had already been pulled apart. Since then no problems, but before it would die on me and eventually would not restart.

Try taking the ignition switch out of the instrument cluster and give the wires a little slack, see if the problem goes away. That should tell you if its the same problem I had.
