Default 2003 400i clutch adj

my wifes 400i manual needs the clutch adjusted I kknow that it is the two screws under the inspection cover on the right side of the machine but don't know witch way to turn them and how much hav'nt had a chance to get to the dealer to borrow his service manual this summer also anyone else have a 2001 ac 500 manual that has brake problems i always have to pump the master cylinder once or twice to get them to work gotten kinda used to it now though i think it is a problem that the caliperis solid mounted and the disc is solid mounted and the vibration causes the pad to back off thats why it takes a pump or two to apply the brakes worse in mudd

To adjust the clutch remove the inspection cover, you will see a screw with a lock nut on the adjuster, with the engine at operating temp loosen the locknut turn the screw in untill you feel resistance, they turn the screw out 1/8th turn, then hold the screw with a screw drive then tighten the locknut. Them reinstall the inspection cover, that's it, job done !! Oh i forgot the tell you to use a screw drive and a boxed in wrench for the adjustment !! Ok now bleeding the brakes, i use a one handed style because i don't have anyone to help me. I use a plastic container and short lenth of clear rubber, plastic hose, . I use the hose size that fits firmly on the bleeder nipple, pour enough brake fluid in container so the hose is submerged in the fluid. Make sure you keep the master cylinder full, open the bleed valve then Slowly pump the hand brake lever 3 to 4 pumps at a times keeping the master full in between bleedings. My manual to start with the wheel cylinder closest to the master cylinder then the other front cylinder then rear.......This is the easy way unless you have someone to help pump, but container with the brake fliud and hose is the only way i go !!! ..............Sorry for such a long post, but i alway's try to give as much detail as i can...........Good Luck and May GOD Bless All on the formums............williebee ..
