How long was it upside down and was it still running when it was rubber side up?

Sounds more like a problem with the carb rather than timing. There not really anyway for being upside down to effect timing.

Check for oil in air box , you may have gotten oil into the carburator causing the rough running, how long has it been doing this after being upside down ? Anyway check for oil in air filter box , this is what i would check first , you may need to drain the carburator bowl and get any eccess oil in the air filter and replace your spark plug. I would add some sea foam in your gas tank it is good for cleaning your fuel and combustion chamber. You can get the sea foam from most auto parts store's O'Really's , auto zone , advance auto part's for about $5 to $9.00 this is some good stuff for all type's of engine, all engine's from the smallest 2 stroke's to the biggest 4 stroke engine's. Keep us posted and let us know how it goes ! .............williebee
