500 TRV bad steering feed back over bumps ?
My brother bought a 2006 TRV 500. I have a 2001 Sportsman. We traded bikes to compare..We found his handle bars jerk around a lot more then mine when going over rough areas....We are wonding if maybe there's something wrong wiith it or this is just normal for the bike.
And it rides a lot stiffer too..He is going to adjust the spring tension down to see if it will help. He's seventy years old and finds he get sore driving..

I also own a 2006 and a 2003 trv the stearing is NOT hard he might need to check tire presure, and alinment alot of people dont like the carlise tires so you might look at gettting diffrent tires and you also say he is seventy? it could be he just cant handle the longet wheelbase and the wide stance? and if your pol. is 5 years old it will feel alot softer because it might be worn out compared to brand new?heres an idea if he likes the polairs better trade him! you wont be sorry.

It's not that it's hard to steer.it's that you get a lot of feedback to the handle bars, back from the wheels when they hit bumps..he hit a side bump once and it jerked it right out of his hand..And he goosed the gas at the same time..I guess it's his first year for a ATV and he needs more experince.. A ATV can be a dangerous if your not carefull..But that's another topics..I will check the again it was about 5 lbs last time we checked it....thanks for the feedback
