I'm looking at the 500 and 650 2007 models. I'ld like to get the 650, but I'm not sure if it comes in manual. I know the 500 does

 

650 is auto only.

 

I'm pretty sure the 07 650's are single. I Think they stopped using the Kawasaki twin engines.

07 650 are single cylinder engines with Auto transmissions. I was once told that the larger machines will not be coming out in a manual tranny as nobody makes a tranny for engines that size.

I was thouhg to myself...really, then why do they have them for motor cycles? I think what he meant to say, was they do not have manual tranmissions that can handle the larger engines with out an actaul manual clutch.

What ever he meant, doesn't matter to me. I will look at the larger "big bore" machines but I will not be buying one until they come out with a manual tranny like the AC 400 or 500.
