Success! All it took was a hypodermic syringe with a dab of gas in the sparkplug hole and she fired right up. Now it starts instantly every time.
How did I get by on our farm without an ATV I just don't know!, and yes I am very happy with my first choice of a Bearcat 454 4x4. It has all the power I think I will need to haul popple logs uphill in its low range with my home made log arch.
Now to deciding on a either a 3000 or 4000 lb winch - have yet to find a discussion forum comparing them for heavy winching (not for self recovery). Any thoughts?
And now to making up a set of rear tire chains from old car and tractor chains I have laying around.
And Yes hauling firewood from the north steep 40 is a whole lot more fun already.

you could probably buy a warn winch that is for an arctic cat prowler and rig it up to work on your bearcat. i believe they are 3500 pounds and have the chord with wire on it so you can stand off to the side of the atv to use it if you wish to be away from the machine. i know some people like their brand of winches, but i like my warn winches 100 percent. i have an old superwinch and it had no power but then again they improve things from year to year so i don't know how the new ones are.

MNDel congrats on your A/C. Can you tell me about your homemade log arch? My 400TRV is used mostly for hauling wood and there are some area's I could save alot of time by hauling out the logs prior to cutting them.
