06 I believe is the first year you could swap seat for box or speed rack, and that is on the TRV, mine does this and I love it. Use the box for carrying my saw, gas, oil etc...
I can then pull two quick release pins take the box off and put the seat on to take the little one or the wife for a ride....Well that is wife take me for a ride (she won't let me drive w/ her on the back).
