Default 250 utility reverse/ start-up problems

On my 06 250 utility I have 2 problems hopefully someone on here can help me with. The first one is that once the engine is warmed up - been ridden for a few minutes - when I go to shift from N to R or H, it stalls. I am able to get it to start again with some pampering of the choke - but as soon as I give it some gas, it stalls again. I have to shut it off and wait about 5 minutes and restart it - then it's fine. The second problem is that once in R - it sputters and loses power - put it back in H and it's fine. I was initially having problems with low power but believe it was due to old gas - I added gas with stabil in it and that seemed to stop my last problem. Any suggestions on these two items? Thank you in advance.

It should still be under warranty, take it to your dealer. If you screw around with it you could void your warranty.

OK... the backing up issue was simply the over-ride button- I figured that out yesterday. The problem with it stalling after it's warmed up while shifting from n - h still exists. I dropped it off at the dealer this morning... he said if it's carb related- it isn't covered under warranty! I told him it has the 3 yr bumper -to-bumper warranty - still not covered! Anyone have the email to AC to complain? I couldn't find it on their website. Thanks!

Sure;

Arctic Cat Phone numbers and E-mail

1-218-681-4999 or 1-218-681-9799, one of the numbers only works once in a while. The other will work all the time but I forgot which is which. The email is: consumeraffairs@arcticcatinc.com . I would email them and tell them the whole story of your problems. They should handle it, maybe even called your dealer or find you a new dealer, set up an appointment even.

FYI; The dealer should have done a carb adjust before delivery, or he ripped you off on a setup charge.

I bought my son this same machine this past summer. It has worked very well for him but we also had some problems with it stalling when shifting or idling. I took it in for its first service at 250miles and they cleaned the fuel filter and made an adjustment on the carb (idled too low). It was a simple fix for us and part of the machines 1st service.

Thanks for all the info - I'll be emailing them in the morning.

Were you charged for the 1st service? I was told the 1st service would be abot $200 per machine!! Other mfg/dealers were offering 1st service free - didn't even think about asking this dealer or AC brand.

I actually bought this machine from a delearship 90 miles away, therefore did not worry about trying to get a free first service. I really don't know how common that is, especially when you get a good deal on a machine. My 1st service cost me around $125.
