300 miles on my H1.

I am noticeing two idles speeds when auto choke is working. One high speed and one just above normal idle.

When just above normal idle it will not go into forward or reverse. It grinds.

The idle speed is just a little above normal and it seem like it should pop into gear. Think a linage adjustment would resolve?

 

Simple adjustment of your idle screw when fully warm will do it, refer to your owners manual for how and where to adjust. very simple to do.
