Default 2005 arctic cat 500 blowing black smoke

my 2005 arctic cat 500 with 500 miles has started blowing black smoke when i start it up and it is under load. is it the carb or what. thanks for any imput

Check your plug and see if its fouled. Black smoke is a fuel problem!

Black smoke means you are very rich on the air/fuel mix.

Clean your air filter. (this is probably the problem)
Make sure the choke is not stuck and is operating properly.
Put some carb/injector cleaner in your fuel tank, maybe even spray some in the carb.
Clean or put in a new spark plug.

If that doesn't take care of it then you will need to take the carb off and clean it good.

In the future put some carb cleaner in every time you get gas and also put some Marvel Mystery Oil in with the gas. Or get some Seafoam and try that.
