07 500 Auto with belt problems
I was wondering if anyone had problems with the 500 eating belts. I ate one at 150 miles and the new one is starting to slip at 200 miles. The dealer wont warrenty the first belt even though it ate another. I dont want to take it in for repair if someone has a good idea about how to fix it or has encountered this problem before. Thanks

You definitely have a major problem with your clutches. Your belt should last 4,000+ miles easy as long as the clutches are aligned and working properly, and you have not smoked it from mud & water inside the clutch cover or from pulling something very heavy for a long period of time. If you had a good dealer, and he finds a problem with the clutches, he should cover the belt under warranty.

do you run in low you should be running in low most of the time trail riding pulling etc. high is for easy riding dirt roads etc. also dont pull in reverse youll toast belts easily that way. have you gotten water or anyting in your belt housing???? but i would say you definately have a problem any good dealer would step up and take care of this. if you havent swamped your atv and your having these problems then call arcticcat and let them know. i was having issues with my atv and i called cat and they talked to my dealer and made sure my problem was resolved.
