650 V-Twin clutch separation help
Since Arctic refuses to warranty the broken cooling fins on my '06 650 V-Twin primary clutch, I am forced to do the work myself to avoid a $1000+ repair bill.
The repair manual says I need a tool called a 'spider wrench' to seperate the damaged stationary sheave from the movable sheave on the primary clutch. I have found references to 'clutch holders' on the 'net that cost $40 - $50 and I was wondering if any of you gurus out there know of a way to separate these sheaves without the use of a 'spider wrench'.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
