2001--2002 Model year
#1
Does anyone know or have reason to believe that the 2002 model year 500's will have any major changes? I was told there were enough changes between the 2000 and 2001 model year that things would stay about the same for 2002. Would appreciate any ideas. Thanks

Tim's out of Big Fork MN. Close to my cabin. I ordered the shift because on my hunting trips we cross some pretty deep water, creeks, lake bays, and mudholes. It isn't that difficult riding but the water can get seat high and it can rise in a day or two of rain. I also climb some steep ridges pulling a trailer up and down. Thought the engine braking would be better but from what I have read here it doesn't seem to matter much. I have always liked shift bikes and that also figures into it. It could be that it just all comes down to preference. Hunt whitetails in Canada, also I am over 50 years old and this ATV really helps me save my legs for the actual hunting and not the 20 some miles in and out of the area.
