don't bother with the mag articles especialy shootouts. They are usually crap. The AC500 in my opinion is a better machine than the Rubicon. it is unfortunate that the mags have a bias towards Honda even if everyone else knows they are full of crap. And they seem to put allot of emphasis on speed and that kind of stuff when we all know 4x4's should pull well and mud well, I did not buy my SP to race, bought it to use off road heavily. i want a machine that can go in muck up to the front rack and beg for more. How fast it corners is not even and issue. buy the AC you will not regret it.

I think these shoot outs are B S ...There are alot of peple out there that read these Honda advertisemants and think that is what is best...They don't know any better and then they go and buy what ever the so called shoot out says is best... Those are the people that I feel sorry for..I personnally know which one fits my needs best...Just my 2cents worth
98'AC 454 4x4,2000Warn and many other additions...

The magazine situation is much the same in the dirt bike world. All the major dirt bike magazines are located in Southern California and cater to the motocross/supercross crowd. If a dirt bike doesn't perform well on a supercross track, it gets blasted. Never mind that 99% of dirt bikers never ride supercross.

In my opinion, these ATV magainze testers are more fond of ripping around on Banshee/400EX/Raptor type machines, which is fine. But judging big bore utility quads by the same standards is nuts.

I have a prediction, I saw a review of the new Kawi 650 in Popular Mechanics. The review says it is by far the most powerful 4x4 ATV out there, and will wheelie at will. I predict that the major SoCal ATV rags will love the Kawi 650 motor but bitch mightily about the weight and suspension, since it won't do well on an MX track.

Arctic-Cats RULE!
You know that Massey Ferguson is going to use them as a ATV Line-up of theirs? It is over seas, but maybe one day it will be in the US.
