The T- Cat ATV is still a hold back for Acrtic Cat because it a 4 stroke 1000 twin and makes only 67hp. While they have a 1000 123hp 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, twin
in there Arctic Cat Jaguar - Z1

There is a Guy on Utube who put a 120hp Polaris XC 700 2 stroke sled motor in his 500 Scrambler so it can be done. Here is the link to it.

No, it's a 951cc 4 stroke twin. They're lying - ok, intentionally misrepresenting - the engine size in the advertising, the name and with the decal they slap on the side of the tank that it's a 1000cc engine.

Polaris did the same thing with their 760 cc 800. To their credit they didn't carry that over to their new 850.

I suppose it's ok for a company to fudge 3 or 5 or even 10 cc to get to a nice sounding even number but when you're off by 40 or 50 cc it's just being deceptive.

I love the sound of a sled, Wonder how he keeps it from overheating, since its made for winter temps.

I think that if you are really looking into buying say a thundercat 1000 that yuo would look at the specifics quite a bit anyways. So its not like its fooling anyone.

Yes, you may have more HP on a sled than ATV. BUT utility ATVs are tuned for low end power torque. Thats why. I rater have a 500 cc utility atv that goes around 55 mph and can tow 1500 lbs with no problem rater than a utility quad with 500 cc and does 120 mph and barly tow 300 lbs.

Here is a Yamaha VK 976cc 4 stroke Utility Sled It has 120 hp and can hit clost to 100 mph and wieghts 800lbs.
Yet when in low range would pull ice shacks, other sleds out of slush and skid logs with its Massive foot print of its 156"x20" track.

Put it on a dirt and I bet it would out pull any ATV with that large track so you can have both speed perfomance and Utility grunt performance.

Its liguid cooled it stay in its temp range at all times. Even the Snowmobile fan cooled 2 stroke motors are used in the summer on Ulta lights, and fan boats.
