Did you shop around a bit for prices here in Utah? Did you have a chance to check out Alpine RV in Pleasant Grove? If so how did their prices compare? I did a little calling around last fall, I was hoping to get a new machine, and Alpine seemed to have the best prices. I was looking at the 500 LE package hunter package and they wanted $6200.00 for a manual shift and $6400.00 for the auto. Seems like a heck of a deal for the machine, a winch , rack bag, fender covers, and a gun boot. Considering the other makers want more than that for a stock machine. Hopefully I'll be able to swing a new machine before this fall

I did and his base prices were pretty close to what others were selling them for. When I asked for the out the door price he started adding in other fees besides taxes and licensing.
Here is what I noticed some dealers will add a doc fee, prep fee, and shipping fees to the base price. The dealer at south valley motor sports was the worst and had the highest base price. He had some 2000 models that I thought that they may deal on. But I could get a 2001 just as cheap from another dealer. Also on the fees, they varied from dealer to dealer like licensing. The county only charges like $30 or $35 for licensing. anything more than that the dealer is taking for himself or giving it to some other organization. Duff Shelleys in A.F. charges $50 for licesing but the $15 goes to the USA-ALL which is an organization which fights to keep are land open. I have no problem paying the extra money if it is going for a good cause. but to have a dealer gouge me on DOC fees, set up fees just to keep for himself I think is total B.S.
I am only buying the AC3004X4 and the best deal I have found so far from Salt Lake to Nephi was at Zeemans Family Sports in Spanish Fork. She has given me the best deal of $4,500 plus taxes and $35 for licensing. I am taking the $69 winch deal and she will install it for another $60.
All I can say is shop around and find the best deal you can. I think the sad part is, is that the dealers won't deal unless you're in the show room. If you call around then they just quote you the MSRP Price. I don't have the time to travel all over the state trying to save a few hundred dollars. I did visit these 6 local dealers: South Valley Motorsports (Salt lake), Alpine (Pleasent Grove), Cutlers (Orem), Zeemans Family Sports (Spanish Fork), Big Pine (Fairview), RedCliff Sports (Nephi). Like I said Zeemans gave me the best deal. Big pine gave me pretty much the same deal but Zeemans is closer to where I live. I hope this helps.
Do you ride with any of the ATV Clubs? I am wanting to join a club and was wondering if you knew anything bout them.

I talked to him and he wanted $4,650 for the 2001 300 4x4. Zeemans also told me that if I took their one 2001 300 4x4 that had 6 miles on it she would sale it for $4,400. I may go down and talk to him again.

Forman 4x4,
I stopped at lunch and talked with Zeemans Family Sports. She quoted me $6,118 out the door price for the AC 500 auto LE. It includes the winch, camo covering, camo bag, gun scabboard. Like I said they are about the best price I've seen around. She said she only had one or two of them left. You ought to give them a call when you can swing the purchase.
Good luck.

Thanks for the info. When I'm finally able to get a new machine I'll give Zeeman's a call. I don't belong to club but it might not be a bad idea. I mainly ride with my Father-in-Law and my Cousin. I sure wish A.C. would put their 500 cc motor in a machine with the 250/300 independant suspension

have you seen the AC video at the dealership? They show how their semi-independent set up is better than the fully independent system because you don't loose ground clearence when you have a heavy load on like an elk. I know my dads sportman 500's drop to about 4" of ground clearence when we through an elk on the back. I actually liked the set up on the 500. I just can't afford one right now.
I wish AC would put an auto transmission and the selectable 2wd/4wd on the 400. Thats the one that I would get instead of the 300 4X4
if you are interested in joining a club let me know. I am looking into them right now. The great part is that they go on monthly trail rides. They also participate with the BLM and Forest Service in helping maintain our trails. They are good organizations to belong to. I have been down on some rides with the club my parents belong to and it has been a blast!!!!
