Default 2007 700EFI For $5000 bucks? Brand New

I think I found a great deal on a 07 700efi.
$5000.00 for a brand new ride.

I just wonder if I need the power. I currently have a 05 500 that I use mostly for plowing the driveway but would like to get a bigger plow and have more low end power for pushing heavy snow.

Would like to hear some thoughts from you guys on if you think its worth upgrading.

Thanks in advance.

Is that out the door price including tax either way it sound like a steal at that price , the question you need to ask yourself is do you a bigger quad with gas prices being what they are now a days ; for plowing snow the 700 EFI would do the job with less strain on the quad for sure and the EFI when they're mapped right there's no need to rejet for different elavation's !

But you didn't mention if the 500 has EFI ? , i know the 500's are very capible to do the work they're tuff machine's in their own right ; but a 700 EFI is more than enough to do the same job with plenty of power to spare !

If you can afford it without a strain on your finances being how the economy in the shape it currently in i would go for it , like i stated above it sure sound's like a steal for the price ; so i guess what i'm trying to say if you're sure you can spare the money without any worry of job security with the current reccession/depression you'll come to the right decision !.........

You should only use low range when plowing snow, and any ATV in low range will never run out of power before traction 350 or 850.

Hook up 800 with a 500 in a tug of war with both in low range and the winner will be the ATV with the most weight and best tires. Even my 350 would snap every axle or CV joint before the engine ran out of power to turn the wheels in low range.

60hp John deer tractors pull harder than 300 hp 4wd pick ups.

low end power and low range go hand to hand no way to not have one without the other.

If memory serves, the 07 was still the Suzuki v twin, not the H1 yet. Either way, the price is excellent. I didn't even know anyone still had a new 07.

I can't comment on the H1, but the 700 v twin was better on fuel than the 650 (kawaski motor) was in 06. We've actually done 2 different comaprisons (my dad has the 650 and a friend has the suzuki engined AC), same trails, same day, filling up and comparing numbers.

The 07's have very good power and reliability, but the H1 is a better overall package. My buddy has a 700 - pre H1 (I'm not totally sure of the year but I think 07) and he uses it everyday for his dairy farm. It has over 400km's on it now and the engine has not given him any trouble at all.

Arctic Cat has never had a 700 V-Twin. The 07 700 is the Suzuki King Quad single cylinder motor. My 700 gets better fuel economy than AC 500 auto's (We have 5, 500's in our family fleet.) I also have 2 05 450 Kodiak's that my 700 uses the same amount of fuel on easy family tours.
teamrev, you can never have to much power. I have owned 500's, 2 650 V2's and now the 700 EFI and it is by far my favorite one to date. The big bore's have a much better cruising speed with less vibration.

You're absolutely right. I was thinking of the Kawi twin in the 650, sorry for the misinformation.

Sounds good, but you realize that a bigger plow and pushing more snow puts more strain on the drive line which is the same in both machines. My thoughts are you probably would be breaking axles and CV joints quicker with the 700. With my small 400 I have already broken one axle and tore out a CV joint, heaven forbid what would happen with a 700, I would not be able to afford to ride it due to repairs.... lol...

Each to his/her own but something to consider.

Well, Here is the update.

I ended up finding a 2007 Grizzly 700 with 325 miles, power steering, two sets of wheels and tires, two winches, and a five year factory warranty for $5500.00 Felt I couldn't pass up the ride for the money. After getting it home and doing some general look over...brakes etc. I think I like the way the cat lays out better, more accessories and stuff. Also I think the speedrack is much better set up than the racks on the grizzly. But hey the money was right and we will start learning about yamaha's! I want to thank everyone for their feedback.

Again thanks for the replies!
