SYNTHETIC is the way to go! Worth the $$$

I ran a tow truck for yrs & I think I've STILL got metal shards in my hands.....

I put GORILLA's 3000lbs winch on & I bought the synthetic pkg. THe WHOLE thing was $119 on EBay + shipping. SOFAR it's a great winch, and I've had NP with it.

I'lll never use cable again...except to anchor stuff to the ground.

I have been using mine since 06, Not one issue and its stronger, I think I may buy a new 50' section thought because the color washes out when you wash the quad, the protective sleeve kind of gets in the way and mine has gotten cut, In the winter it gets stiff and mine wrapped around the fair lead when I was reeling it in and it cut the protective cover but not the rope, You will be unable to break the rope, but don't reel it in to far, you will rush the round metal thing the pin goes in to attach the winch hook and it gets sharp and makes the rope get fuzzy, that is another reason I want a new section, but the rope is 100 times better then the cable, I love it and will never go back and i use my winch all the time, Amsteel is the best stuff out there and its at a great price I have had this stuff before most people even knew what amsteel was and everyone I have recommended it to LOVES it

even if you don't have a winch, GET IT .. 50' weighs MAYBE 12 oz, put it on your rack, or in your backpack.. have it, seriously...

i got it for 40 bucks, i think, from amazon gorilla blue steel

ZERO stretch -- i've used the fishingline version for decades- fire wire or spiderline --

and, if you get all tangled up, can't get it free, it cuts EASILY with a pocket knife, torn soda can, glass.. well, you get the point
