Default replacing outer front cv boot HELP!

hi

have to replace the outer cv boot on my 650 V2 -05 and have understand of other treads on this forum that I have to take the inner cv joint out and away from the axel to be able to change the outer cv boot, the problem is that I cant get the cv joint of the axle - I have hit it like 1000 times with a hammer but nothing happens!? some of you guys say that there is a locking ring that holds the inner cv joint to the axel -where is it??? cant find
-is there anyone how have a picture that shows that lockingring?

I have taken the hole drive axel with inner and outer cv joints out of the ATV

PLEAS HELP ME!!

There is a retainer clip on the axle near the inner cv joint. You have to remove the clips off the CV boot nearest the rear differential then slide it down the axle towards the tire. Wipe some of the grease off and you will see the retainer clip. Once it is removed the shaft with the CV joint attached slide out easily with no hammer. There is a cup part that stays plugged into the rear diff so no fluid should leak out either.

I get my CV boots from a guy who has a site called thecvman.com he has instructions there on how to get the CV as well as the axle out of the machine. His directions are much better than I could ever do. He sells CV kits with the 2 boot bands, a heavy duty boot and a small bag of cv grease. I think it is like $30 or something like that.
