Default 500 4x4 Advice

My dad was on the way to his new lot and drove past a farm where a guy was trying to sell a 2000 AC 500 4x4 Auto for $500. My dad said it was a little beat up, as in tear in the seat, tweaked handlebars etc, but the real kicker is the motor is stuck.

For $500, is it worth it to get it and try to revive this thing? I've never dealt with a stuck motor before, so do you have to do more than bore out the cylinder and replace the piston? Does the rod and everything else go out when these things happen?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I would try it. Have the exact same one, really nice and dependable quad, but I don't like the titan tires...

Check ebay, I see parted out motors on there all the time for a reasonable amount. GL

My guess is the bevel gear broke which also isnt that big of a deal provided it didnt bust the inner case when it happened its hard to say what the problem is but for 500 bucks its no doubt worth the money if nothing else you can part it out for more than that no problem!!
