sounds like your belt is junk. i would just buy a new belt and take some sand paper and roughen up the clutches a little bit as it will take the burnt rubber off and then let the new belt grip better, when you put the new belt on make sure that where it says kawasaki on the belt you can read it and it isn't backwards. it is a pain to get the old belt off so i just take the grinder and cut it off. also there are different springs you can use to help tighten the belt up but in 06 they were better then my 04. the kawasaki belt system can be very tempermental.

If i had snow to plow and work to do on say a farm or just a climit/location wit lot's of snow to plow in winter i woild've gone bigger , the 2005 AC 650 v2's had a gearing problem whitch was taken care of by the Dealership's and by 2006 the problem was fixed at the factory ; there were several thread's about the importance of running them in low gear when towing trailor's and plowing / also use low when riding under 40 MPH .
Other than that everyone who owned the 650 v2 were well sattified with them , glad to hear you have it fixed if tou use low gear when ypu're running under 40 MPH you should more mile's from the new belt ; enjoy your ride .
