Default 08 700 efi problems!

im not sure whats going on with my bike. when i 1st got it a month ago the throttle response was awesome! it would run about 70mph. now the when u gas it it seems to hit a flat spot about 30mph and cuts out at 60mph like its against the rev limiter. now my belts been wet a few times do you guys think its my belt or do i have other issues?? i didn't want to take it back to the shop if its just a belt. thanks

When the belt got wet, did the air filter get wet/dirty at the same time? may want to check it. You may also want to change your spark plug if you haven't already. Im thinking its your plug to be honest. Getting things wet can cause these symptoms. I doubt your belt is to blame, unless you really wore it out while it was wet. Make sure the plug gap is correct even though they come pre-gapped.

I also have 08 700 EFI. I have never been able to get it to 70 mph. Best I can get is 63mph. Having said that I also feel the sort of lag around 30mph. It does come through it, and I only rally notice it if I am cruising. If I am throttling from a lower speed it goes right past that mark and no bog. I have changed plug and it made do diff for me. I have removed the air filter to try it and again no change. I think it is in the module. But I am not going to replace it until the thing either dies or burns...
