Did you do it with or without a manual?
Getting the drive shaft back into its housing with the spring. I just put grease into the socket and the spring into the grease. The rear end as a unit is heavy, for me it is, I used tie downs to support it to the ATV frame while aligning the drive shaft to the output shaft and installing the swing arm pins.

The AC manual is pretty lame. On the 250 they have you trying to disassemble the tranny as it sits in the "fixed" half.
This is the half that is part of the engine. The tranny is a "cassette" type and there is no way you can disassemble and reassemble the unit as it is written in the book. The biggest issue I have is placement of the thrush washers. I used a online mirco filtch to get the correct placement. So far I have had the tranny in and out of the cassete 10 times to figure out how to reassemble it and in and out of the fixed half 8 times as I can not get nuetral to work. I get forward and reverse. I may have a thrush washer in the wrong position. The last time before I called it a day I could not get it to go into gear. I get to take it back apart and try some thing else. So the tranny comes apart again, Relocate a thrush washer. BTW the micro filtch is not that good either.
