Default 05 650 v2 belt problems

Hi everyone new to the forum looking forward to meeting everyone. Had the dealer install a EPI clutch kit, seemed fine till i got stuck in a mud hole my belt started smoking like crazy. After i wenched myself out my cat makes a cluncing noise & the belt slips. I took the cover off, belt seems to be lose.

you probably stretched the belt, were you running in low range? remember to always run in low range if you weren't. how many miles on the belt? and one thing that helped my old 650 was i took fine sandpaper and i polished the clutches up.

I had it in low range , stuck real bad.I think the dealer had the belt loose when they installed the cluth kit, there was a little play in the clutch. I will polish the clutch make it smooth or wrought. I here theres a problem with the shimes in the 04 & 05. Should i remove the thicker one from the secoundary is it !!!!!!

the only thing else i can tell you is that when i put the epi clutch kit in my 04 i had the pink primary and black secondary springs in and it helped tremendously for keeping the belt tight and gave it a harder backshift. new belt and remove that shim and use low range you should be good to go.
