Default taking in water

How much water can a 08 arctic cat 400 4x4 take for it takes water in the belt drive case?

depends- are you using it for fishing or soldier transport from ship to shore? Salt water or fresh water?

Assuming that all your clamps are tight and the duck bill drains have been siliconed shut,

The belt case air inake is just under the front rack and the belt case air exhaust is in your right side fender well and reaches almost to the underside of the rear fender. Look for the black plastic tubes about 2" in diameter which come off the belt case.
Not sure how tall your tires are but this will let you know when your close to taking in water.
