I can understand the honda loyalty thing. If you have ever owned one, then you know how good they are.

Simply put, they make the best engines available, period. I have a 89 model that has been through the ringer. Dead battery, hasn't been started in at least 3 months, and at 50degrees outside, it started on the first kick. I'd have to say that the oil in that honda hasn't been changed over 4 times the whole time we have had it.

When I bought my AC, I looked at all. Having owned a Honda, I knew Polaris was at the bottom of the equation even though I wanted a Sportsman. In the end, the AC seemed the most Honda-Like of any quad I rode, and it had better features than the 450S that was Honda's flagship at the time. Better power, suspension, mud and splash protection, and stability at a cheaper price.

I took a chance on a quad that hadn't been around long, and the Gamble paid off. AC makes as tough a bike as any. They just don't finish it out like a honda. Basically, the screwed in plastic panels of the honda are better than the interlocking rattly plastic of the AC. Thats about it.

I understand your decision.
