Default 97 AC Bearcat 454 Fan Temp Sensor

Looking for the spec or does anyone know at what temperature, the cooling fan is supposed to come on? Confirmed the fan was bad so that has been replaced and with the sensor jumped, the fan works well. Perhaps someone has sensor resistance specs?

Thought about adding a manual switch, but would like the fan to work on it's own if at all possible.

Replying to my own post...again! After much research and final hot water testing, I can confirm that at 220 degrees F, resistance across the two terminals is .3 ohms or closed. I had to wire wheel the sensor and clean the two terminals real well with emery paper and coat them with electrical grease. So my fan now works quite normally and didn't spend a dime!

This Bearcat had a broken rear driveshaft support bearing and sat under a tree for twelve years. Rear end (driveshaft) overhaul, fuel tank cleaning, carb overhaul, oil and filter change, two used tires, fan disassemble and clean, reassemble and "fix" the radiator fan switch, rear rotor, Warn winch overhaul and new switch, contactor, and cable and she's about done! Initial cost was $500 and total repairs cost $160. Not too bad if I do say so myself!
