Default 2009 Mud Pro (starting issue)

I have read alot of the forums on here and still can't find the answer to my problem. So I joined to ask it.

The quad will not start, tried for an hour and nothing just turns over, and no ignition. Pulled the plug, it was somewhat wet, had lots of good spark. Put plug back in, waited 20min then tried again, she started for 15seconds, then dead again, 20 min later, she started 3x at 10 seconds each. Then completely dead again. The efi runs through its cycle properly, guages go up and down normally, fuel pump engages, and relays click, normally like they have always. Now I pulled the plug again and same thing, plug is wet, and tons of spark. It started 10 min later for 5 seconds and aloud back fire. Then 20 min later started for 3 seconds 5-6x basically every time I pushed the starter button, now it will not fire at all.

I had this problem a few months ago briefly for like 2-3 starts and just feathered the throttle and took it for a good burn, it was bogging down at anything past 1/2 throttle for the first 10 min of driving. theat weekend it was fine and then has been in my garage since.

Is this water in the gas? Is it common for Mud Pro's? I dont swamp it I play hard in the mud and creeks, nothing over the fuel filler cap though.

Did you read my thread called "Trade Up?" Sounds like mine...cylinder washed with too much gas causes low compression. Try shooting some WD40 in the throttle body while trying to start as it helps build compression. Remember the basics of what a motor needs to run. Fuel, Air, Spark at the right time, and Compression. It may have compression, but is it enough to fire the lean mixture fuel injection creates?

It was a $4 spark plug, CPR 8E by NGK. Quad turned over half a crank and fired up perfect!

Thank you for you help though.

I got luck this time, bought a few spares to be safe.

FYI for everyone reading this thread, I talked to an Arctic Cat mechanic on the phone and he said when quads come in with sputturing, idling problems, backfiring, and not starting, 9x out of 10 it is that CPR 8E spark plug, they are tempermental.

In my case he was right
