Thanks dawn I found it for 22$. Have to put a ohm meter on that bike and find out if thats an issue before I start buying parts. I'm curious if that scooter has a cdi that will work on the cat as well. Not sure what its going to need yet will be a bit before I can even start tearing into it.

If you go through some of my threads, Lynn Edwards helped me with that. I didn't even know how to use a meter, and he walked me through it. I have had problems with my voltage regulator... it caught on fire twice! I think I figured out that problem though, my resistor went bad, and when it burned up the first regulator, I took both off. Not realizing the regulator and resistor work together! As far as a CDI goes, all the readings should be in one of my threads! (Lynn Edwards was really awesome). We bought this Arctic Cat never actually expecting anything, but I was determined to fix it without putting any money into it - and I did at first. I wanted to make sure that it would run before I went and bought a bunch of parts that may or may not be the problem! Now, I don't have a choice but to get a resistor, and I am going to replace my leaking carburetor too (it is a manual choke one, not the one that was originally on it), and a battery! Because I know it will run, total I am still less than $100! It will still start up even without the voltage regulator as long as the battery is good, but when the juice is gone from the battery, it dies. I was pretty proud of myself, thanks to this forum page and all of their help!

Good deal. I will look around for your thread when I get to working on it. I have 2 2004 250's to finish up first and a 2000 400 I'm stripping for parts. And a couple side projects as well as taking care of the farm......might be a while before I get there. Suppose to have a couple more bikes come in next week for transmission work.
