Default 4wd actuator info

I am wondering if anyone has a broken actuator or one off they could give me a measurement. I'm wanting the diameter and length of the post that the actuator pushes into the diff to engage the 4wd. Im planning on tinkering around and trying to fab a manual engage for it and mount to the existing brackets. I know 2004-2008 400 and 500 auto's have the one I'm looking for but not positive what else. Part number is 0502-579. Ty much.

Did you ever figure out how to do this manually, or did you end up buying the part like I did
