Loud clicking from fuel pump, what's up with that?

Question Loud clicking from fuel pump, what's up with that?
Arctic Cat 2005 500LE automatic. My fuel pump recently started making a "ting, ting, ting" sound. Is it going to fail? The machine runs just fine, but I would hate to get stuck out in the boondocks when this quits.
