Has anybody ever priced a front differential?
I noticed a spot of oil under my cat today and after I smelled it, I knew exactly what kind of oil it was. I jacked up the front and began investigating. Both half shafts have excessive movement at the diff. Looks like it's gonna be alot of money and alot of work.
The price of fun just went up!

 

You should only have to replace a couple of seals and maybe a couple of bearings.

If you do have to change the diff, move to a 2001 model diff. And get you some 2wd going.

 

Hey Boner, thanks for the great idea!! I got the left side pulled apart tonight, didn't come apart like it says in the service manual. Anyway, with any luck the diff will be out tomorrow night.
