I think the manufacturers are nuts to build ATV's designed to go under water. Yes, I drive my Arctic Cats thru deep mud , but I certainly wouldn't blame AC if one gulped water and hydrolocked. Vehicles that have been under water are generally called "flood damaged". I know a few guys that put very low cold air intakes on their Dodge hemis and bitched when they hydrolocked. When I was in the Army, the Jeeps that we had were totally built to go under water, spark plugs, ignition, air intake were truly waterproof, but also a pita to work on.

Yeah, I almost forgot that this thread was started about an Arctic Cat Mudpro that sucked water into the engine. One little leak and that snorkel is useless. I'm guessing that the other 2 manufacturers that design machines to do the same, Polaris and Can-Am, would have a similar response if a customer sucks water into the engine. Deep water crossings should be avoided whenver possible, even if you have a snorkel. Once the water gets deep enough, the current can sweep you away even if you have a good snorkel and you can drown.

Don't blame the factory on lack of service - only the dealer can provide service.

Don't just go by one persons post... especially if they "hit and run" and never post back again. Some claims are legit I admit,other people are just venting and join only for that purpose.Also there are some people that can't be pleased even you gave them a new machine and delivered it to their door.. 
Test ride several different brands,narrow it down to what you like and you can kinda get a feel for the dealer and possibly the techs if you get a chance to talk to one.
