I love my Cats! BTW, I hope mister (customer service) is happy riding whatever pos he ended up with.

Hydrex - how do you like that diesel AC? I've never known anyone that had one.

I like the Diesel a lot! Now with a turbo, it has gobs of torque. Top speed is not it's strong point, 44 mph on level road is the best, 50 mph down hill. I just bought a 2014 700 TRV with power steering, however, the power steering kinda spoils you! If they had made the Cat with a
'Turbo diesel and power steering, that would have been awesome. The Diesel seems to run cooler than the gas model, at least the blower on the CVT is a great idea that all automatic ATV's should have. I think the perfect diesel motor would be the Mercedes 3 cylinder Smart Car diesel, 60+ hp, gobs of torque and they are quite cheap in EU, 1,400 dollars. The 2 cylinder is very expensive, at least $3,500 and only 17 hp stock. My guess with inter cooling and 15 psi boost, maybe 35 hp, but gobs of torque. It feels stronger on the trails than the 700 cc gas AC, you can leave the diesel in Hi range and it will climb a tree.

That's nice to know. I have friends in Africa that have looked at ATVs but they say gas to too hard to buy.

Default 2001 arctic cat 250 4x4

Why does my cat 250cc 4x4 go so slow? Shifts fine through all gears, but it seems to only get up to like 20mph
