just when you thought i had logged of the site. this site may not be the best but the others just plain suck. the main reason i'm posting is b/c i just bought my warn 2000 winch today and am in the process of installing the sob. i tell ya what, ac made the toolbox the absolute hardest thing to remove. i only paid $267 for the winch new in the box--is that a good deal. i know cabelas charges $390 for the same winch and mount. any way you slice it i now have a winch to pull out my nephew's magnum 500 whose true 4wd left him truly stuck on a recent ride on dakotart's 800 acres in edna, texas.

texascat--getting stupified with the disturbed. yes, i listen to that kind of music. not all texans listen to country music.

Pray for more rain so we can leave him stranded for a while while we go get the camera! Maybe we can draw and quarter him next time! My dad went out last weekend and called me on the cell phone to ask how to get my mom unstuck. She was on the 500 with the winch and didn't want to get off and throw my dad the cable. He didn't want to ride the 400 into where the 500 was stuck and get them both wedged in there! You can guess who had to get off and walk in to get the cable. Bottom line is that winch is worth its weight in gold!

May 12th. Beer, guns, atv's, and snakes part two!

Well, I totally removed my pos box. Now I wish I had PARTS of it to mount the solinoid-- but I'm just not gonna even mount it. Hell with it. I know I am taking a chance, but I'm gonna see how far my luck goes. Been having super luck so far.

BTW: when I say removed I mean I unbolted one side and ripped the ****er off the rest of the way. I just wanted it OFF NOW!!!

hey dude,

i'm kicking around the idea of leaving my box off because the little sh*t is too small to put anything of importance in. hell, i might mount a .50 caliber ammo can or one of those plastic 20mm cannon ammo boxes on the front rack. if i use the .50 cal i'd have to spray it with truck bed coating inside and out to silence it. i'll play with it and give you an update.
