2002 Artic Cat 375 only runs with choke on
Wondering if someone could shed some light on this subject "Title above". I have cleaned the carb twice, really well. It runs bad. It spits and sputters until the RPMs are up to 60% to 70%. The choke has to be on for it to run at all.
Also I changed the spark plug, and gapped it according to the MF settings.
Continued:
So bought another bike, exactly the same with the same carb. So I cleaned it and put it on the bike and it runs great, but I still have to keep the choke on about 25%. I have cleaned all the ports, blew air through all the orfaces, and now I am at a brick wall. Help please!

Unless you used a good rebuild kit, you just reused the old gaskets and needle and seat. Did you set the carb back to specs b4 you reinstalled it? A rebuild kit will give those setup specs. Most carb cleaning jobs dont work, you need a thorough rebuild while resetting carb to factory specs. If you need the choke on, then you are running lean, a lean condition will case high cylinder temps and show a light colored plug. Will also burn valves and piston over time.
