WARN Winch safety bulletin

I just checked my solenoid number. It is the same number that was mentioned above, but tiwas made by a company called comdex. I don't have to worry.
Just look at the white label on the solenoid if it doen't say White-Rogers on it you're fine.

I talked with WARN the other day and they told me to call 1-800-328-4445. This was to "The 4 Wheel Drive Center" which had a supply of replacement solenoids. They charged me 21.95 for the part and they would reimburse me once I sent my old one back with the serial number off of my winch. I am not sure how many of these they have, you might want to call soon if you need one.

Pramo,
How are the crabs down your way? I live in Buffalo and fly into Baltimore and work up in Elkton every week. All I've got to say about your fine state is "Hail to the Blue Crab". I think there are a few less crabs in the Bay since I've been coming down here.
Keep the mud out of your teeth,
David.

ok, i got the whole scoop on the solenoid problem.
if your solenoid is a white-rodgers and has one hole on the mounting bracket open and the other is closed, disconnect the winch from the battery immediately. However, if both mounting holes are open and the name camdec (spelling may be off a little) is printed on the solenoid your are in the clear.
