I broke the housing and lense on my speedometer. I looked up an on-line parts place and they say you have to buy a whole new speedo. $128 ouch..... Has anyone had to fix this yet. I was going to fix the housing myself but it may be smashed beyond repair.

 

I have smashed 2 of them so far and I believe I paid 39.00 for just the speedo. The price you were quoted sounds like the whole kit. You don't need the kit, it comes with a new cable, transmission gear and housing and all the other hardware needed to put one on a machine that's never had one. Check at the local Cat house, they'll have the correct price.

Unfortunately the best price I could get for just the speedo is $85....still too expensive....
